This afternoon, at 2:38pm, 186 was added for an engine into Ross for a large brush fire. 186 Engine 2 and 186 Chief responded for manpower. 186 Crews operated on scene for approximately 3 hours before returning into service. ![]()

This weekend, Highland Volunteer Fire Department will be honored from Friday through Sunday for First Responder Fridays. Listen in to @froggyradiopittsburgh 103.5 FM, 104.3 FM and 92.1 The Pickle randomly throughout the weekend to hear Vice President Ron Monper talk about the history of the volunteer fire service and the challenges of today.
